maven - Dynamic generation of javadoc -


i have project generates javadoc.

i have project uses part of above project. possible define execution generate javadoc above project define (include specific package)?

currently have javadoc dependency on above project gives me whole javadoc.

well, yes , no. can configure maven-javadoc-plugin exclude packages (and consequently include other packages) using <excludepackagenames> tag, e.g. 

<plugin>     <groupid>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupid>     <artifactid>maven-javadoc-plugin</artifactid>     <version>2.9</version>     <configuration>        <excludepackagenames>com.excluded.package.*</excludepackagenames>     </configuration> </plugin>

depending on use-case (and effort required), feasible solution split current project 2 separate projects, com.company.example.api , com.company.example.implementation, , generate javadoc api project.
