i newbie in infopath & sharepoint. trying create form infopath 2013 , publish document library sharepoint. have 60 fields needs calculated(add) field. when tried use design checker, throws error mentioned below in screenshot. accepts if key in 45 fields in insert formula text area. there limitation on number of fields entered in insert formula? when use preview in infopath works fine. error pops when try publish sharepoint. ideas on how resolve this? - inadvance

error screenshot

infopath preview rendered ip filler. browser experience has been different, , filler preview not reliable check browser experience. may have hit limits of browser form can do. don't have numbers or limits, though.

looking @ error message, seem amassing awful lot of calculations in 1 single field. gut feeling bad information architecture. purpose of form? trying achieve? why have 60 fields in form?

it looks if summing large number of cells. infopath not spreadsheet.

use repeating tables capture similar data. can total table entries standard ip function.

this looks sum of items restaurant has on menu. perfect case repeating table. don't use 60 items on menu in list of 60 fields in 1 form. overkill , not user-friendly. create repeating table structure user selects 1 of 60 items , enters transaction data. each row of repeating table can have item of list of 60. grand total calculated entries.

if not viable, use helper fields calculate sub totals item category, , create grand total category totals.
