php - mysqli_set_charset does not store arabic letters -


i store entered information written in arabic in database. throughout searching, found out have change collation utf8_general_ci , in code have put following statement: mysqli_set_charset($dbh,"utf8");

i gave try didn't work. still stores entered information هلا

can me please

it still stores entered information هلا

it not mysqli own code.
running htmlentities() on data.

better don't use html formatting storing data in database @ all, or @ least change go htmlspecialchars()
