dataset - Connect SAS on MAINFRAME to another DB using ODBC -


my company has sas 9.1 on mainframe. mainframe has sas/connect , sas/share.

currently, use 9.1 sas pc connect sybase database (via odbc connection) , upload data extract sas mainframe.

is possible connect mainframe via odbc database? trying connect mainframe sybase replication database. sybase database sitting in unix server.

does know if we're trying possible? if so, insight wonderful!

it doesn't appear can use odbc on mainframe or unix server.

you might want contact sas representative verify hasn't changed (or isn't wrong in general). if possible use odbc on mainframe, you'd need license it, sas sales representative should able tell if that's possible or not.
