PayPal vault storage - sending credit card info securely -

i evaluating payment gateway options , looking @ paypal's vault option (similar braintree's vault).

what found in case of braintree's vault storage, can send credit card info securely (encrypted) stored on servers, obviating necessity of pci compliancy issues.

does paypal's vault storage api have similar way of sending encrypted credit card info? looking @ documentation , seems though need send un-encrypted data vault.

am wrong in making assumption? interested make me discard paypal , go braintree our payment gateway service.

thanks in advance.

depending on paypal service wanting use, both paypal , payflow have similar service. can find information on paypal's vault on paypal's developer site. if wanting use payflow, can have payflow store customers credit card information. have @ payflow gateway developers guide. page 76 has information on data upload feature.
