admob - Ensure Android Compatibility Revisited -

i have found related questions here , here

first of lets note intellij user

so question if there updates on matter on how keep compatibility without doing work.

as far have understood, values inside android manifest (min & target sdk) play role reference google play , not compiling

i support gingerbread edition, android-10. on other hand admob forcing me compile android-13. main issue if in case accident use feature there in android-13 not in android-10.

the "solution" have come far compile , forth. change properties, compile, change properties compile again. least annoying.

you use adt 1 version of android (13) generate resources , android library earlier version (10) compilation ensure haven't used apis later version.

i use intellij build maven , do. using maven makes use case quite simple.

<plugin> <groupid>com.jayway.maven.plugins.android.generation2</groupid> <artifactid>android-maven-plugin</artifactid> <configuration> <sdk> <platform>${android.resources.sdk.version}</platform> </sdk> </configuration> </plugin> <plugin> <artifactid>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactid> <configuration> <source>1.6</source> <target>1.6</target> <showwarnings>true</showwarnings> <fork>true</fork> </configuration> </plugin> <dependencies> <dependency> <groupid>com.google.android</groupid> <artifactid>android</artifactid> <version>${android.library.dependency.version}</version> <scope>provided</scope> </dependency> </dependencies>
