web - Whether session cookie expires at midnight? -


i working in web anlaytics, using cookies tracking visits, pageviews same google analytics. whether session cookie expires @ midnight or have enforce expiration.

i having 2 question

1.whether session cookie expires @ midnight(11:59:59pm)?

2.if expires why?

any idea greatful.

with last round of changes definition of visit/session in ga, recall new session generated if user continues existing 1 past midnight.
