Style certain characters with CSS -


i'm assuming it's not possible, in case or has nice trick sleeves, there way target characters using css?

for example make letters z in paragraphs red, or in particular case set vertical-align:sup on 7 in elements marked class chord.

that's not possible in css. option first-letter , that's not going cut it. either use javascript or (as stated in comments), server-side language.
