binding - MySQL set server to run not externally for internet -


i know, if want run application ( c++ or .net ) , i've developed internally. mean, have external ip pc, security reasons don't want application seen, it, set not external ip part i'm binding ip socket, listening. way how did application seen internally.

but mysql server? scanned server , see, mysql 3306 port seen. think it's bad. how can hide mysql server public , make ineternally seen?
